Good Morning

This is what I found when I went to bring Oaxie her morning milk. Still half asleep, she was sitting in a basket of toys watching Elmo.

We went to TaTa and Mikes house for a fun afternoon with our cousins Hank and Joe (the twins) and Oliver. They all came in for the weekend to visit. We had so much fun. We played in our new pool that has a slide on it. The slide was a real blast. Once we figured it out we went up and down, up and down, up and down! Nana and Grandaddy got us the pool when we went to see them a few weeks ago but we never got a chance to use it. So we are glad we finally did. After swimming daddy took everyone for rides on the four wheeler. Mommy was not for sure about letting us go but she finally gave in once Daddy promised her he would not go fast. TaTa put her helmet on me(Bin) because Mommy said my little head has been through so much she did not want to take any chances. BUT, it was a bit to heavy so I eventually got to take it off. We ate yummy food and got to take a bath in TaTa's fancy whirlpool bath tub that has neat colors that blink on and off under the water. The colors are supposed to be therapeutic but we just think they are really cool! We stayed up way past our bedtime, YEA! Once we got home we were out like lights!
Jon's twin brother Edward and his wife Ginny came to visit this weekend from Austin. Their son is Oliver who will turn 2 in September. Jon's sister Penny and her husband Chris have twins, Hank and Joe. They are 5 and start kindergarten this year. As you can see from the pictures above she is expecting a little girl in December. Yipeee! Another little girl so Oaxie will not be the only one on this side of the family!

Table Manners

We are trying to learn to eat with spoons these days! Oaxie is little Miss Independent and just this week protests every time I try and feed her. She wants to do everything on her own and if you don't let her, boy look out!!! I figured we would try with some pudding because I thought that would be easy. Bin ended up fingerpainting with his all over the tray and himself. Needless to say he got a bath after lunch. Oaxie barely made a mess. She was very neat and would just put the tip of the spoon in her pudding and quickly touch her tounge with it. Then she would clap. She is such a goofball. This is going to take a while to get the hang of I have a feeling. I may have to feed them out side and wash them off with the water hose, especially Bin.

Wagon Ride

Today we went to hang out with Daddy at the new shop after work. It was so hot outside but it was nice and breezy inside. Daddy took us for rides in the wagon and it was a lot of fun.

I love the picture of Bin and Oaxie at the top. He was just relaxing on Oaxie's lap and believe it or not she was actually allowing it!

Off to Nana's house we go!

This week we went to visit Nana and Grandaddy. We had lots of fun. We tried to learn the piano with Nana, went shopping, went swimming, and spent lots of time playing with all of our cousins. We also went to our Aunt Chrisitie's graduation from nursing school. We did not want to sit still so Mom and Grandaddy had to take us outside to play. We did eat some really good cake though! We were able to see lots of family we have not seen in a very long time. One of our cousins, Reid is starting college this fall so they have been fixing up our great-grandparents house so he can live there.

This was the first time that Bin and Oaxie have seen some of their cousins. The pictures at the top were taken at my Grandparents house. We took dinner over that night since everyone had been working so hard on the house and needed a break. We had a good time catching up with everyone and it made it even more special that we were at Maw-Maw and Paw-Paws house where we all spent so much time growing up.
